The B'tai Tefillin "Hayovel" brand of the Tefillin sold by Tefillin Beit El have more than 40 of the enhancements listed in the "Seal of Halachik Standard and Quality" of Tefillin Beit El.

Partial list of Specifications: The following is a partial list of the special enhancements that are incorporated in the Hayovel Tefillin;

• Manufactured according to the instructions given by Harav Mordechai Eliyahu Ztz"l and the Kabbalists.
• In writing Gods name.
• Crowns are added in accordance with the ruling of "Shimush Rabba".
• Two crowns on the letter Lamed "ל", benevolence and justice.
• Meticulousness on the squaring of the writing in the scrolls.
• Ensuring that the scribe writes his letters thick enough so that they don't deteriorate over time.
• Ensuring that the scrolls are written with the rulings of Maimonides (Pri Migadim or Taz).
•  The body of the Tefillin are constructed from thick hides and are all of one piece of hide with a thick integral bottom, thus no filler piece is required.
• The chambers for the scrolls are manufactured so that there are no folds in the interior portions of the hide. (Shulchan Aruch, Harav).
• A tendon is placed between each of the interior chambers, and an additional tendon separates the individual scrolls of the head Tefillin from the outside.
• Straight equal distant lines are maintained in manufacturing the separate chambers of the head Tefillin and the lines seen on the head Tefillin are actually the lines which separate the individual chambers.
• Smooth exterior surfaces.
• The "ש" is completely extruded by hand from the hide.
• Equidistant is maintained for the holes in the base of the Tefillin.
• Handmade straps, which are blackened on both sides.

Scrolls: By the customer

All the parchment scrolls are written by qualified scribes on the hides of unborn calves. All of our scrolls undergo three levels of proofreading that check the shapes of the letters, check whether there is anything added or missing from the letters, are all the connections of the parts of the letters properly connected or are there any separations. All the parchments then undergo a computerized scanning and check. All the scrolls are categorized as to the level of compliance to Jewish ritual and as to the beauty of their graphic image. A sample as to beauty; It is permitted by Halacha to glue two pieces of parchment together in order to receive the necessary length of parchment required to write the long scroll used in the Tefillin which is tied on the arm. However, these just don't look nice and therefore are not used in the Hayovel, Odem or Bareket brands of our Tefillin in Tefillin Beit El.

• The straps are manufactured from the top layer of highest quality hides.
• Hand strap length – 4.5 meters.
• Head strap length – 3 meters.
